New for this year to the Dakota lineup is the new Canada Lessers. The decoys are a one piece decoy for ease of hunting. The heads are molded into the body, so once you attach the base, these are truly a one piece, TANK!!!
The new lessers are constructed with the same mix of polyethylene to insure they will withstand everyday abuse hunters deliver to their decoys. They come standard with our Wind Walker motion system to make setting up and moving a breeze. They come in 2 versions, a painted decoy, which comes standard with flocked heads and tails, and a new XFD’s (X-treme Flocked Dakotas). Run these decoys all by themselves, or mix them in with the larger decoys, to help give your spread an even more realistic look. Decoys come in 6 packs, which include 3 feeders, 2 actives and 1 sentry.

All of these Lesser Canada Goose Decoys by Dakota Decoys are constructed of a blend of high and low density polyethylene. This mix gives the decoy the paint retention found with high density products, with a bit of flexibility to take the abuse found in hunting situations. Dakota uses 100% lead free paints, and each decoy is hand painted for an ultra realistic appearance. The bodies are molded in the natural base color of the Canada goose. This allows the decoy to continue to look natural and actually adds character as the decoy ages.
The “Wind Walker” motion system is second to none! This system creates a smooth, natural motion that gives the appearance of the natural walking movement of live birds. Limiters are molded into the bodies which work in very high wind conditions, without getting stuck. They have incorporated a stretchable leg system to assist with the movement, and also allow the decoy to be moved without the base falling off. Another feature of the system is the ability to turn the decoy on the base and snap lock the base into the decoy body, eliminating any movement and also allowing the decoy and base to be moved as one piece.
Dakota has worked hard at creating ultra realistic body positions with multiple head positions to create a unique look in the field. The flocked heads are the toughest on the market, and are molded out of black polyethylene to help hide wear marks inherent with flocking. We then go to the trouble of painting each eye with a high gloss black paint to help make the decoy look alive!
